New York: Prime Minister of Barbados H E Mia Mottley met yesterday with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The meeting reviewed aspects of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, mainly in the energy field.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross H E Peter Maurer. During the meeting with ICRC President, they reviewed cooperation, in addition to a number of regional issues, especially in Afghanistan and Syria. The Deputy Prime Minister also met with Executive Director of the World Food Program (WFP) H E David Beasley. They reviewed cooperation especially in the field of humanitarian aid, and the repercussions of the global food crisis, in addition to topics of common interest.
