Doha :The Cultural Village Foundation Katara announced that it will embark on launching two training programmes on educational diplomacy, popular diplomacy, and soft power.

The sessions are organised by the Katara Public Diplomacy Centre in collaboration with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) to promote the notions of public and cultural diplomacy and cultivate the associated skillsets across diverse segments of the community.

The training programmes are held as part of the diplomatic cultural programme, with the first session slated for May 26, entitled ‘Educational Diplomacy’ and structured around imbuing male and female teachers with essential behavioural and engagement skills required to perform their roles with a diplomatic mode that blends grit and diligence with emotional intelligence.

These programmes address the rules of pedagogical protocol in dealing with students, peer teachers, professionals, school management staff, and parents, thereby contributing to the building of a highly respectful and refined school environment.

The second session is scheduled to take place from June 1 to 3 and will feature an interactive workshop entitled ‘Public Diplomacy and Soft Power.’

The workshop offers participants a profound understanding of the notions of public diplomacy and the strategic importance of soft power in international relations, highlighting its role in shaping a country’s image and enhancing its global presence.
