DOHA: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested six Asians involved in the production and sale of ‘Sweika’ chewing tobacco.
The department seized huge quantity of ‘Sweika’ products from them in Old Ghanim and Najma.
It acted on a tip-off that some people in both areas were selling tobacco products. The gang was arrested when they were trying to distribute and sell the products, said a press statement issued by the Ministry of Interior yesterday. All the accused have been referred to authorities concerned for further legal procedures.
