Doha: Maj. Gen. Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director-General, Public Security Staff, yesterday opened the newly built Civil Defence Centre at Pearl Qatar.
The opening was attended by Brig. Engineer Abdul Aziz Al Ansari, Director, Logistics Department, Staff. Brig. Abdullah Muhammad Al Suwaidi, Director -General, Public Directorate of Civil Defence, Ministry of Interior directors and Pear Qatar officials.
Al Khulaifi toured the centre and expressed his satisfaction with facilities that would extend services to the entire island.
He highlighted the relevance of awareness events, especially for students by Civil Defence and said such measures will help save the lives of people and properties and keep the country safe and secure.
He thanked United Development Company for support to build the centre.
