Doha: Lufthansa, the largest European airline group, is to operate from the new Hamad International Airport (HIA).
The first flight LH 620 from Frankfurt, Germany, arrives today and the first flight to depart from the airport –  LH 621 — leaves Doha for Frankfurt tomorrow at 01:30. Passengers of LH 621 are advised to check in at the new Terminal 1 between Check-in Areas 7 and 10. From May 23, all Lufthansa flights to and from Doha will route through the new airport.
“Lufthansa welcomes the move to the state-of-the-art airport and we are pleased to inform our passengers of our new base in Doha,” said Karsten Zang, General Manager, the UAE, and Director, Gulf and Pakistan.
“Doha has been a strong addition to our global network since January 2006 and we have grown this service with additional flights and larger aircraft.”
