Doha: The auditorium in Ooredoo Tower has been named "Waleed Al-Sayed Auditorium", Ooredoo Qatar announced on social media. It said that it is in honour of the late former Deputy Group CEO and CEO of Ooredoo Qatar who passed away in January this year.
"We announced that Ooredoo's auditorium as the Waleed Al-Sayed Auditorium, in honour of the late former Deputy Group CEO and CEO of Ooredoo Qatar," it said in a statement as it shared a photo of the auditorium's entrance.
Ooredoo Qatar, on its social media in January, mourned the late former Deputy Group CEO and CEO of the company, Waleed Mohammed Al-Sayed.
The company had said: "It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Waleed Mohammed Al-Sayed, former Deputy Group CEO and CEO of Ooredoo Qatar. We pray to Allah to help us and his bereaved family to bear this great loss."
The former Deputy Group CEO and CEO of Ooredoo Qatar joined the company (when it was Qtel) in 1987.
