DOHA: WOQOD’s Vehicles Inspection Arm (FAHES), is participating the 34th Traffic Week, by joining hands with General Traffic Directorate within the Ministry of the Interior’s initiative to educate public regarding safe driving skills to reduce the road accidents.
FAHES representatives explained the guiding principle behind the FAHES Motto “Keeping an Eye on Your Safety”. In addition, a mobile station along with the VIN stamping VAN was stationed, where live inspections were carried out.
“Your life is a trust” is the main theme of the week long awareness campaign. Messages on “safe driving” and to “beware of others faults” were highlighted throughout the week. The main focus is on increasing awareness on various traffic safety issues to ensure safety for drivers and the general public.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, FAHES actively participated on this occasion with an impressive booth at Darb Al Saai from March 18 to 24.
The role of FAHES as vehicle inspectors authorised to technically certify vehicles in Qatar, for the periodic registration renewal, was briefed to the visitors. The occasion also provided an ideal platform for creating awareness about maintaining vehicles within safe pollution levels, and the need for all vehicles to be roadworthy.
Leaflets detailing inspection parameters and common FAQ’s about vehicle inspection were distributed at the booths.
