Doha: Qatar Chamber’s First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari has met yesterday with Malta’s Minister for Finance and Employment H E Clyde Caruana.
The meeting touched on economic and trading ties between both countries and ways to enhancing them, promoting cooperation between Qatari and Maltese companies and investment opportunities available in both sides.
During the event, Al Kuwari stressed the importance of promoting cooperation relations with Malta in economic and commercial fields, indicating that despite the strong relations between Qatar and Malta, their trade exchange is still below the level of ambitions, reaching about QR113m in 2020, pointing to the importance of exchange visits in achieving rapprochement between the business sectors in the two countries and learning about the investment climate and opportunities available in both countries.
Al Kuwari went on to emphasise that Qatar Chamber encourages Qatari businessmen to explore the investment climate in Malta and establish investment projects, which results in developing trade exchange between the two countries
On his part, Caruana said that his country highly welcomes Qatari investments, indicating that there are multiple opportunities in many sectors in which Qatari companies can take advantage.
