The Police College yesterday signed a protocol of cooperation with the Turkish National Police Academy to promote scientific cooperation in the framework of cooperation between the two countries.
The protocol of cooperation was signed by the Director-General of the Police College Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Muhana Al Marri on behalf of the Police College, while the President of the Academy Dr Yilmaz Shulat signed it on behalf of the Turkish Police Academy. In a press statement, the Director General of the Police College said that the goal of the protocol is to establish scientific and educational cooperation serving the Police College in Qatar and the Police Academy of the Republic of Turkey by improving and expanding the local activities of the two institutions. He added that the protocol guarantees areas of joint cooperation to serve the parties within the scope of the terms of reference and in a manner not inconsistent with national laws and regulations in both countries.
Dr Al Marri pointed out that the two sides agreed to exchange visits, experts and specialists in the academic and training fields, organize joint educational and training programs and activities, exchange information and opinions on issues related to academic and training activities of common concern, and seek to develop human cadres in order to improve the quality of work and benefit from scholarships programs.
For his part, Dr Yilmaz said that the protocol of cooperation comes in the framework of joint work and based on the security agreement signed between Qatar and Turkey in 2009 and the protocol of security cooperation in the fields of training, education and exchange of experiences and the location between the two countries in 2015.
