Dakar: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, witnessed, at the Presidential Palace in Dakar yesterday, the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the governments of Qatar and Senegal.
They witnessed the signing of a cultural cooperation agreement, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of sports and a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of youth.
The signing of a number of MoU including a cultural cooperation agreement, in field of sports and in the field of youth between the governments of Qatar and Senegal.
The ceremony was attended by Their Excellences members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir and Senegal Prime Minister Mahammed Dionne and a number of Their Excellences ministers and senior officials. The Emir also attended a dinner banquet hosted by Senegal President.
Emir arrived in Dakar on an official visit to the Republic of Senegal. Upon arrival at Leopold Sedar Senghor Airbase, the Emir was welcomed by the President. The Emir and the accompanying delegation were also welcomed by the Prime Minister of Senegal, Mahammed Dionne, a number of Their Excellences Senegalese Ministers, Qatar’s Ambassador to Senegal Saree bin Ali Al Qahtani, Ambassador of Senegal to Qatar Mamadou Mamdo Sall, and members of the Qatari Embassy.

Emir’s African tour includes visits to Guinea-Conakry, the Republic of Mali, the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, the Republic of Burkina Faso and the Republic of Ghana.
