Chinese tech giant Huawei has registered a remarkable double-digit growth (year-on-year) in its sales and revenues globally, including Qatar. Huawei said its sales in Qatar witnessed 17 percent growth (y-o-y).
Huawei, which has become the second largest manufactures of smartphones in the world with record shipment, is occupying 21 percent market share in Qatar, according to statistics released during the unveiling of its new products in Qatar.
Huawei Qatar on late Tuesday unveiled some of its latest products in Doha which include Huawei Y9s smartphone, Huawei Free Buds 3.0 wireless earpods, and Huawei smart watches. These new products which are set to hit the Qatari market next week are having a lot of outstanding features and capabilities.
The Chinese technology major is doing great business and growing steadily, not only in Qatar but across the world, despite the market challenges created by the trade war and wrangling between the US and China.
The company’s products and services are available in more than 170 countries serving nearly one third (2.5 billion) of the global population.
According to the data provided by Huawei, the company shipped some 200 million smarphones for 2019 in a record time registering a 24.4 percent increase in sales and revenues of Huawei Consumer Business Group in the first three quarters of this year.
The company’s presence in Qatar has been growing fast and steadily. Huawei has 3 big showrooms in Qatar located at strategic places—Al Nasr street, Gharafa Cluster, and Al Watan Centre—, in addition to two Experience Kiosks in leading malls and dedicated zones and authorized distributors.
Huawei Y9s, which is expected to hit the Qatari market from November 28, 2019, is the company’s latest entry-level smartphone.
