DOHA: Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum (FBQ Museum) has announced a line-up of activities and family events during Eid Al Adha holidays.
The museum is inviting families to a special tour of the collections, accompanied by guides, and six artistic workshops and activities for children.
Children can choose from ‘LEGO’, colours, painting, calligraphy, clay sculpture and drawing workshops, led by experts. The ‘LEGO’ programme will motivate kids to discover new ways of learning through educational tools.
The colouring workshop is designed to draw and colour artworks that inspire kids the most from the collectibles at the museum.
The sculptures workshop will offer training on how to use modulation methods to make small models.
Participants in the drawing workshop will have a chance to walk along the corridors of the museum and see the collectibles. They can produce their impressions of the pieces and artworks.
Through the use of magazines, newspapers and recycled paper, participants will learn to develop creative artwork through collage. The activity will highlight the importance of recycling and how it helps preserve the environment.
The calligraphy workshop will allow participants to identify Arabic calligraphy and its uses in art forms and objects. They will be able to distinguish different styles of Arabic calligraphy to produce artworks. The museum opens its doors to visitors during Eid days from 9am until 5pm. The Peninsula
