Doha, Qatar: As part of efforts to develop and enhance cooperation in the regulatory system, Al Rayyan and Doha Municipalities have launched the first joint inspection campaign targeting food establishments in the New Industrial Area.
The campaign involved 11 food inspectors and a veterinary doctor, with the goal of sharing inspection expertise and exchanging knowledge in planning and managing inspection campaigns, ultimately aiming to improve the quality and efficiency of regulatory work and raise performance standards.
During the campaign, awareness and inspection activities were carried out at commercial establishments involved in food handling to ensure their compliance with the required health regulations, in accordance with Qatari, Gulf, and international food safety standards. Workers were also educated on the principles and practices of food safety, with the aim of ensuring the highest standards of food safety and delivering safe, healthy food to consumers.
