Doha: The Air Cargo and Special Airports Department succeeded in intercepting and seizing 17.5kg of marijuana hidden inside compressors of air conditioners.
The authorities have been issuing continuous warning to those attempting to carry illegal substances into the country.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
