Doha, Qatar: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani praised the diversity and academic wealth at the Doha International Book Fair during his visit today, May 21, 2026.
Following his visit, HH the Amir took to social media and wrote in Arabic, in remarks that roughly translate to, "I was pleased by what I saw during my tour today through the halls of the Doha International Book Fair 2026 - a remarkable diversity and intellectual richness that reflects the pivotal role of culture in supporting our country's efforts to strengthen awareness of the importance of the Arabic language and identity, as well as the role of reading in the advancement of nations and the progress of societies."
The Amir further expressed his thanks and appreciation to the organisers of the exhibition.
