Doha: Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, Qatar Museums Authority, chaired in Paris the concluding session on the exchange of information between states parties to World Heritage Convention.
This was a preparatory meeting for the 38th session of World Heritage Committee (WHC) in Doha from June 15 to 25.
The committee comprises representatives from 21 states which are parties to the Convention.
It’s meeting will be attended by more than 1,000 delegates, and will see the announcement of new World Heritage sites after participating countries complete the examination of applications to ensure they conform to the requirements of standards set by the panel.
