DOHA: Katara will enthrall the Doha audience with successive musical salvos featuring musicians from different parts of the world.
Lovers of classic and romantic music will be enthralled by South Korean pianist Sonja Park as she performs at a concert ‘An Evening with Romantic Piano Master Pieces’ at 7.30pm tonight at Katara Opera House.
She will play masterpieces by classic and romantic composers Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin.
Park has a distinguished career, having graced the international stage playing in sold out concerts in Tokyo, London, Florence, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Kuwait and Russia. She has also featured in festivals, including Andrey Sakharov International Art Festival as well as in Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey and the UAE.
Born in Seoul, Park received her education in Vienna and has been a recipient of many international awards.
With Katara’s keenness to meet the interest of its diverse audience, it is presenting another concert tomorrow at 7.30pm at Katara Drama Theatre.
It is organised in collaboration with the Argentine embassy to mark Argentine National Day and will feature guitarists Escordando.
The duo will perform compositions of well-known Argentinean and Latin American musicians such as Alberto Ginastera, Astor Piazzolla, Leo Brouwer, Radam6s Gnatalli, Remo Pignoni and Sergio Assad, among others.
The group was formed in 2008 and since then has made name for themselves playing in concerts and big festivals in Argentina.
