Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received HE Mary Simon, Governor-General of Canada, and the accompanying delegation at the Amiri Diwan this morning.
During the meeting, the Governor-General expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for the effective contribution of Qatar in the evacuation of Canadian civilians from Afghanistan, as well as during the Covid-19 pandemic, praising the roles and endeavors of Qatar in the humanitarian and international fields.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields, in addition to discussing the most prominent regional and international developments of common interest.
