Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) benchmark index gained 87.17 points, or 0.89 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 9,934.10 points.
Trading value during last week increased by 40.15 percent to reach QR1.24bn compared to QR891.68m.
Trading volume increased by 52.11 percent to reach 479.72 million shares, as against 315.37 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 44.98 percent, to reach 32,022 transactions as compared to 22,087 transactions.
Market cap rose by 0.37 percent to reach QR549.47bn as compared to QR547.46bn at the end of previous week, reports QNA.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value last week with 48.78 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 16.71 percent.
Real Estate sector accounted for 14.16 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 8.17 percent.
Real Estate sector led traded volume last week with 32.66 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 27.12 percent.
Industries sector accounted for 19.76 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 11.49 percent.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions last week with 33.36 percent of the total number of transactions.
From the 47 listed companies 24 ended last week higher, while 22 fell and one remained unchanged.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index gained 55.76 points, or 0.56 percent, yesterday compared to Wednesday’s closing.
The volume of shares traded decreased to 114.27 million from 115.08 million on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR349.49m from QR333.51m on Wednesday.
