Nasser Bin Khaled Heavy Equipment, a subsidiary of NBK Group, recorded a successful year in 2019, with an overall growth of 15.3 percent compared to 2018.
This growth is accomplished as a result of sales increase in the Power Generation and Construction & Concrete Divisions, and the acquisition of Zoomlion Forklifts and D’Avino.
The addition of the new forklifts to its portfolio signals NBK Heavy Equipment’s entry to the diesel and electric forklifts market, increasing its already wide assortment of Zoomlion products from mobile cranes, tower cranes, and more.
Meanwhile, Italian company D’Avino enhances its profile in construction and concrete equipment, specifically compact mixers and dumpers that can be used in any jobsite.
Eyad Rashid (pictured) , General Manager of NBK Heavy Equipment said: “NBK Heavy equipment rose to new heights in 2019, adding more products and brands to our portfolio to serve the different construction, agriculture and power generation sectors, among others.
We will continue our plans and strategies to achieve better results in 2020, relying on our strong assets, expertise and prominent reputation.
We look forward to another prosperous year in 2020 and effectively contribute in accomplishing the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030”.
The subsidiary also completed major deals with local projects with a focus on construction and power generation markets.
NBK Heavy Equipment’s success can be attributed to its expanding reach within the construction industry through Montabert Hydraulic Breakers and Case Construction’s range of Skid Steer and Backhoe Loaders.
Additionally, new opportunities for MTU Rolls Royce Solutions (Previously known as MTU Onsite Energy), in providing complete turnkey solutions for DG sets, boost its impact in the market.
Holding key partnerships with many leading global manufacturers of heavy equipment, and operating a well-staffed field force and service centers, NBK Heavy Equipment is actively collaborating with enterprises and building Qatar’s future.
NBK Heavy Equipment, founded in 1975, has played an integral role in supporting the construction sector by providing the most reliable machines and equipment across its four divisions: Construction, Earth Moving & Compaction Department; Power Generation Department; Agriculture & Landscaping Department; and Material Handling Equipment.
The division also has a Rental Department for select machinery and a well-equipped Parts & Services Department.
