Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, organized a series of awareness workshops under the Digital Transformation Program for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The workshops targeted SMEs operating in the education sector, aiming to promote the adoption of digital solutions and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance services provided within the education system.
The events highlighted the role of digital transformation and AI in fostering innovation within small and medium-sized education companies.
Participants gained valuable insights through specialized sessions led by digital transformation experts, which included practical demonstrations of AI applications designed to improve the student experience, enhance operational efficiency, and create new business growth opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion, Director of the Digital Economy Department at MCIT, Faraj Jassim Abdullah, emphasized that promoting digital solutions adoption in SMEs through AI is a national priority, playing a key role in achieving the Qatar Digital Agenda 2030 goals.
He noted that SMEs are vital drivers of digital leadership in the country, and that collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education embodies this vision by equipping education-focused SMEs with modern tools and technologies to improve education quality and enhance the experience of both students and teachers.
These workshops are part of a series organized under "SMEs Go Digital” program, targeting strategic sectors including tourism, education, healthcare, retail, wholesale, transportation, and logistics.
The program supports the Qatar Digital Agenda 2030 objectives by building an innovation-driven business ecosystem, accelerating the digital transformation of SMEs in Qatar, and enabling them to adopt modern technologies while preparing for a digital future.
It offers a wide range of benefits, including tailored digital assessments, customized transformation plans, networking opportunities with service providers, exclusive technology offers, potential financial support from Qatar Development Bank, as well as training courses and awareness sessions to enhance institutional capabilities, ensure effective use of digital technologies, and achieve sustainable growth.
