Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani Mosque tour
Doha, Qatar: The Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center organised a visit for dozens of Western residents to the Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani Mosque in The Pearl area.
The center aims through such visits to introduce members of the Western community to mosques featuring distinctive architectural designs, highlighting the beauty of Islamic architecture and its connection to culture, identity, and society.
The tour included an introduction to the mosque, its architectural style, and its main features, in addition to an explanation of the religious rituals performed there and the mosque’s role in the surrounding community. Visitors actively engaged by asking a number of questions, which were answered by the center’s team in an interactive and insightful discussion.
Each year, the center hosts thousands of visitors across various mosques, most notably the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, the Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani Mosque, and Minaretein (Education City Mosque).
These mosques collectively showcase a variety of Islamic architectural styles—from local Qatari designs to classical Islamic and modern styles—offering visitors a deeper understanding of Islamic culture and contemporary Muslim societies.
