Doha: The postal consignment section in customs of air cargo and private airports department foiled an attempt to smuggle shabu into the country.
Shabu/Shabo is a local term for illegal methamphetamine drug which is prevalent in some parts of Asia.
In a video and photo shared by Customs on Twitter, the 581 g shabu was found hidden in the side walls of a box shipment containing personal clothing.

The authorities have been issuing continuous warnings against carrying illegal substances into the country.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
