Doha: The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), the global platform of the leading gas producing nations, will organise an online lecture on ‘The Global LNG Market: Connecting the Dots’ by Dexter Wang, Manager for APAC Market Engagement at S&P Global Platts, on Wednesday 22nd July 2020 at 2.30pm Doha time.

His lecture will focus on the key themes of LNG supply and demand during COVID-19, changes in LNG contractual norms, and the anchors of the LNG forward curve. The GECF Secretary General Yury Sentyurin will address the audience and highlight the updates and achievements made by the Forum, including in the GECF Global Gas Outlook 2050, the GECF Short-Term Gas Market Report, and a special box on natural gas and LNG supply in the new edition of the OPEC World Oil Outlook 2020, to name a few.

Wang, manages the market engagement efforts across energy commodities at S&P Global Platts in AsiaPacific, where he formulates and executes engagement strategies that propel the company’s content priorities.

He speaks and presents at industry events and private sessions on market trends and analysis, as well as price methodology development. Before assuming his current role, Mr Wang covered major crude oil, refined products, and petrochemical markets.

The GECF regularly organises lectures and workshops featuring policymakers and experts, who are invited to share their knowledge and insights on contemporary issues related to the gas industry and its interconnected influencers of geopolitics and economy.
