New York: Minister of Social Development and Family H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad met separately with Mauritanian Minister of Social Action, Children, and Family H E Savia Mint N’Tahah, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations H E Lachezara Stoeva and President of the International Disability Alliance (IDA) Yannis Vardakastanis on the sidelines of their participation in the 15th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities CRPD (COSP15), which was held at the United Nations Headquarters in the US New York City.
During the meetings, aspects and opportunities for joint cooperation between the Qatar and the parties concerned with these meetings in the field of developing services provided to persons with disabilities and ways to enhance them through means of technical, skill and economic empowerment were reviewed.
The topics on the agenda of the 15th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities as well as coordination of positions on research issues and perceptions of draft resolutions and relevant concluding recommendations were discussed.
