21st edition of Project Qatar set to kick off May 26

Doha, Qatar: Under the theme “Innovation & Sustainability: Qatar’s Path to 2030”, the 21st edition of Project Qatar is set to kick off  at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on May 26, Monday and will continue for four days.

At a press conference today, the IFP Qatar, the event’s organizer, revealed that the event is expected to attract more than 200 local and international companies, featuring prominent governmental and semi-governmental entities, as well as leading private sector companies that play a pivotal role in supporting Qatar’s development and infrastructure projects.

It added that this year’s edition will witness remarkable international turnout, including a delegation from the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, led by the Minister of Economic Development, where Argentina will be participating as the country of honour under the umbrella of Qatar’s Years of Culture initiative, celebrating a dynamic partnership marked by innovation and diversity. 

It will also host high-level delegations including businessmen from the Moscow Export Center, and the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC). In total, over 80 international companies from across the globe are expected to participate in the event.

Director of Trade Development and Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Hamad Mohammed Al Nasr said: “We at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry are pleased to once again affirm our continuous support for Project Qatar, which has become one of the country’s most prominent economic and commercial platforms. The exhibition plays an active role in enhancing the business environment and developing productive sectors, most notably the construction sector, which is one of the main pillars of achieving sustainable development. 

Manager of Public Relations and Communications Department at the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) Abdulla Saad Al Saad said: “The Public Works Authority is taking part in Project Qatar with a dedicated pavilion showcasing its comprehensive range of completed, ongoing, and upcoming projects, aiming to engage key stakeholders and foster collaboration in project execution. ”

General Manager of IFP Qatar Haidar Mshaimesh said: “For the 21st consecutive year, Project Qatar continues to play a vital role in driving growth, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of the construction industry by bringing together hundreds of local and international exhibitors and participants from across the world, positioning it as a global gateway for the Qatari economy.” — QNA
