Doha: The dangerous situation in the occupied territories requires urgent action to stop the Israeli attacks, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani today said at the UN General Assembly emergency meeting about situation in the Middle East.

“We wonder when the international community will act to deter Israel,” Foreign Minister asked.

“The pace of Judaization and settlement increased to a point that can be described as ethnic cleansing.

“Targeting residential buildings, media and humanitarian institutions is a violation of international law, and the international community must work seriously to secure protection for the Palestinians.

“We must work to achieve a comprehensive settlement and the establishment of a Palestinian state with borders of 67.

“We support all sincere efforts to de-escalate the escalation in Jerusalem and Gaza, and we especially thank Egypt and Jordan for their efforts to halt the escalation,” he added.
