Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs honoured Seashore Group for its notable initiative in maintaining and refurbishing several mosques across the country.
The recognition was presented by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani during a ceremony organised by the Ministry’s Engineering Affairs Department.
The event was attended by a number of senior officials and department directors, underscoring the significance of meaningful cooperation between government and private sector entities in supporting the mission of mosques and enhancing their spiritual and social role.
The Ministry stated that the initiative represents an exemplary model of constructive partnerships that benefit the community and reinforce values of generosity and national responsibility.
During the event, Director of the Engineering Affairs Department Mohammed Yousef Al Ibrahim, delivered a welcoming address expressing the Ministry’s appreciation for this distinguished collaboration.
He emphasised that the initiative had a visible impact on the mosques involved, which were revitalised with new carpets and enhanced maintenance, reflecting the sanctity and significance of these sacred spaces.
Al Ibrahim affirmed that the success of such initiatives stems from fruitful cooperation between the government and private sectors, grounded in a shared belief that serving the houses of God is both an honour and a major responsibility.
