In the blue and white stars of H H Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, Rajeh (Jaafer ASF), the leading Purebred Arabian 3-year-old in France, made easy work of the opposition in Casablanca to emerge on top. The two-time Group 1 winner ridden by Harry Bently, Rajeh sat on the rail throughout the race before easing to an 8-length victory. The F. Sanchez-trained IBN Gadir (Mared Al Sahra finished in second place under I. Mendizabal, with the S. Corette-trained Fawzl Al Mels (Baseq Al Khalediah) in third under T. Zergane.
