Team Qatar began its campaign at the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup with two losses in the opening rounds of the group stage in Shijiazhuang, China yesterday. The team fell to the USA 15-21 in their first match, and then suffered a narrow 18-21 defeat to hosts China. The squad, consisting Mohammed Basheer, Mahmoud Darwish, Mubarak Jama, and Mustafa Ndao, will next meet Latvia and Fiji tomorrow.
