DOHA: Tadmur Trading, one of the leading companies in Qatar, will showcase a wide range of innovative products at the upcoming ‘The Big 5 Qatar’ expo.
These include products that the group will be manufacturing at its three new factories, which are set to be launched early next year, a senior official of the company revealed, yesterday.
These new factories will be manufacturing several products, such as pumps, control panels and other industry specific items which find use in a wide range of sectors, such as construction and manufacturing industries.
In addition to Tadmur, more than 230 other exhibitors from 20 countries, including Qatar, will be showcasing their products and services at the upcoming ‘The Big 5 Qatar’ expo which will kick off on September 24 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
“Two of these three factories are new and the third one is the re-launch of an existing factory with expanded capacity,” Omar Halawa, Business Development Manager at Tadmur Trading told The Peninsula on the sidelines of a media breifing event yesterday.
“These construction and chemical factories will be launched in January 2019, while the third one has already started operations,” he added.
Qatar’s major trading partners, such as China, Turkey, Italy, India, Iran and Kuwait, are aggressively participating with their respective national pavilions to support the ambitious demands of Qatar’s built environment, especially from the booming construction sector.
The three-day event, to be held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, is being organised by dmg events (Doha), an international exhibitions and publishing company.
The organisers have brought together government and private support to present The Big 5 Qatar to media ahead of the inaugural edition next week.
Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), Ashghal, Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Tadmur Trading LLC, who were present at yesterday’s press conference.

Together with dmg events Doha, QTA is organising a hosted buyers programme which will bring buyers from 16 countries to meet local manufacturers and SMEs during scheduled face-to-face appointments.
At The Big 5, exhibitors will showcase the latest innovations in construction across seven dedicated product sectors covering all stages of the construction lifecycle. In addition, there will be live product demonstrations throughout the event highlighting practical applications before visitors make the decision to buy.
In addition, The Big 5 Qatar will put strong emphasis on free education. Across three days, the event will host 40 free-to-attend, CPD (continuing professional development) certified workshops offering construction professionals in Qatar insight into the latest industry trends, tools and techniques.
