Doha: The Air Cargo and Special Airports Department foiled an attempt to smuggle hashish into Qatar.
The contraband was found hidden inside a shipment coming from an Asian country. The weight of the seized substance was 1.69 kilograms.

The authorities have been issuing continuous warnings against carrying illegal substances into the country.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
