Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), yesterday received in his office H E Alessandro Prunas, the Italian Ambassador to the State of Qatar.
The meeting was attended by Mansoor Al Ansari, Secretary-General of the QFA, and Ali Dawood, Executive Director of the President’s Office. The two had discussions on matters of common interest.
The QFA President noted the existing relations between the Qatar’s and the Italian federations are paving the way for future cooperation. QFA President said Qatar looks to enhancing the existing relations between two federations.
The Italian ambassador pointed out that Qatar has taken urgent and timely measures to protect the health of citizens and residents alike in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ambassador praised efforts made by the QFA for implementing the MOPH measures put in place for the safety of all those involved with football in the country. He also praised the level of relations between the two countries.
