Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar, represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority, participated in the proceedings of the twenty-third meeting of the Middle East Air Navigation Planning and Implementation Regional Group (MIDANPIRG/23), alongside the thirteenth meeting of the Middle East Aviation Safety Regional Group (RASG-MID/13), both held in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, during the period from June 14 to 18 2026, with the participation of representatives from member states of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), experts from aviation authorities and international organisations, and stakeholders in the aviation sector from various parts of the region.

The two meetings addressed ways to enhance regional cooperation and coordination, and to improve the planning and implementation of air navigation priorities in alignment with ICAO’s global objectives, in addition to mechanisms for developing and enhancing the efficiency, security, and sustainability of the air transport sector.

The meetings also provided an important platform for exchanging expertise, reviewing regional challenges, and discussing best practices.
