Ooredoo volunteers recently distributed Iftar boxes to workers and people on their way home from work at the Petrol station in Umm Ghuwailina.
The food packages, which contained a drink, fruit and a sandwich, were distributed to hundreds of workers during the weekend.
The Ooredoo volunteers, who represented business units from across the company, distributed the boxes to the workers, and then broke their fast with them as part of the company’s ongoing Hand-in-Hand Ramadan campaign.
Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director PR and Corporate Communications, Ooredoo said: “We’re proud to have shared a meal with the workers who have helped build Qatar. Giving back to those who in need is a huge part of the spirit of Ramadan and we can’t wait to continue this spirit as the Holy Month comes to an end and the festivities of Eid begin.”
Ooredoo still has a host of important community initiatives planned this Holy Month. Customers can follow Ooredoo’s Ramadan Hand-in-Hand campaign via its Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page and the hashtag #ShareAMoment.
