Doha: QNB Stars League (QSL) giants Al Sadd will travel to Tehran on Sunday, ahead of the upcoming AFC Champions League semi-final second leg clash against Persepolis.

The match will be played at Tehran’s famous Azadi Stadium on October 23.

Persepolis won the first leg 1-0 in Doha, courtesy to an 86th minute penalty.

As ‘The Wolves’ look to overcome the deficit for a place in the coveted final, they got a boost as defender Ibrahim Majid returned after missing weeks of action.

Majid joined team’s training session on Tuesday and is expected to play in the crucial match for Xavi-led side.

He picked up a muscle injury in the QNB Stars League Round 3 game against Al Gharafa.

Ibrahim underwent treatment and recuperation under the supervision of the national team medical staff and then joined the national team camp in Doha before returning to the club for training.

Al Sadd players are undergoing intense training and will be hoping to turn the tide in tough away clash against an in-form Iranian side.
