Doha: It will be a repeat of last year’s final as Spain’s Barca Lassa and Germany’s Fuchse Berlin booked their berths in the final of the IHF Super Globe with convincing wins in Doha yesterday.

At the Duhail Sports Complex yesterday, the defending champions, Barca Lassa became the first finalists of the tournament this year when they defeated Champions League title holders Montpellier HB 37-30 in the opening semi-final yesterday.
Last year, Barca beat the Germans 27-24 to claim the title.
The Catalan side have stood on top of the podium three times, in 2013, 2014 and 2017. Now, they aim to claim their fourth trophy to extend their impressive record.
Today, Bahrain’s Al Najma will meet Sydney University in search of a seventh-place finish while Turkey’s Hammamet will take on Brazillian side Handebol Taubate for fifth position.
Hosts Al Sadd will take on French side Montpellier with the eyes on the third place of the tournament.
