Doha, Qatar: President of the Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Doha Diamond League Mohammed Issa Al Fadala confirmed that preparations have been completed for the event, which will kick off Friday at the Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium at Qatar Sports Club.

In remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Fadala said Qatar's accumulated experience in organizing major sporting events at all levels supports the success of the meet both organizationally and technically, enhancing Doha's position on the global sports map, particularly in athletics.

He added that the meet will be more distinctive due to the strong level of competition across track and field events, noting that the committee invited the world's top male and female athletes, including Olympic medalists, to ensure high-level competition, strong performances, and record-breaking results.

Al Fadala stressed the long-standing competitive value of athletics in Doha, which has earned global trust and made the city a preferred destination for champions seeking strong performances and new records.

He noted that around 97 percent of participants are Olympic medalists from recent years, which guarantees a high level of competition and increases the likelihood of record-breaking performances.

He also highlighted that Qatar's Diamond League meet is unique in introducing initiatives such as financial rewards for record-breakers, a feature not present in other Diamond League events.

He concluded by expressing confidence that new records will be set, especially with favorable weather conditions that support optimal athletic performance during evening sessions.
