Doha: The Haj and Umrah Affairs Department at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced that registration for the pilgrimage season of 1435 AH - 2014 will start from the beginning of the month of Shaaban and extends to the end of month for Qatari nationals, GCC citizens and residents through the eepartment website (www.hajj.gov.qa), which is available in both Arabic and English.
Director of Haj and Umrah Department Ali bin Mubarak Faihani has called on applicant to be accurate in data entry and to verify their validity to insure the acceptance of the application and that it will not be rejected, explaining that the registration should be online.
He explained that the applicant, after entering the data, will receive a message indicating the completion of the registration process, including a password to login to the site once again in case the applicant wishes to include associates, on condition that the resident or the associates have resided in Qatar for three years or more.
The department confirmed that the process of sorting out the applications will be electronically immediately after the end of the registration as the Department relies on a sophisticated system of registration and sorting out.
The website of the Department of Haj and Umrah include all the conditions and instructions for the registration process, required documents in addition to educational brochures on Hajj rituals, specifications of the Department of the services provided to pilgrims by air and land contractors and bulletins on disease prevention, safety and risks.
Qatar’s Haj quota for the season of 1435 AH will be 1200 pilgrims.
