Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) said that many seagulls were found dead in several wild areas in the country.

In a statement on Twitter, the Ministry said that these birds died of starvation and thirst due to a tight adhesive that was wrapped around their beaks.

The Ministry also shared a photo on Twitter.

Due to this, the Ministry calls on the public "to avoid such erroneous and harmful behaviors to the environment and work to preserve biodiversity and ensure the safety of birds because of their importance in ecological balance."
