Doha: Ministry of Municipality and Environment has launched a new service for disposal of large items from homes and offices.
The Ministry said in a post on social media that people can call 184 and place a request for removal of large volume of waste like furniture, TV, Fridge, trees, packaging, drums etc.
Ministry initiative for achieving sustainability comes on Global Recycling Day.
Ministry also posted informative graphics promoting recycling with hashtag #RecyclingQatar.
One of the post said that we will save enough energy to run the TV for 3 hours if we reuse one aluminum bottle.
Another post encouraged everyone to store food in glass containers and not plastic containers.
