Doha: Under the patronage of Governor of Qatar Central Bank and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sports and Social Activities Support Fund (Daam), H E Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud Al Thani, the 5th Conference on Social Responsibility and Awards will begin on February 26.
The conference, to be held at Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, will witness the launch of the 5th edition the White Book on social responsibility under the theme “Responsibilities despite Challenges”.
The conference is being arranged in light of the achievements made by Qatar under the wise leadership of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and resistance of people to the unjust siege which reflects the highest standards of social responsibility of the Qatari society.
The support of Daam to the conference comes within the framework of commitment to the social responsibility. The conference will witness distribution of awards, which will be offered to the companies, individuals and institutions who have contributed highly to the field of social responsibility, effectively contributed to the failure of the siege, accomplished achievements and have realised the high levels of developments each in its area of specialisation.
The organising committee has completed all preparation in cooperation with Daam which is the main supporter of the conference and the awards.
The 5th edition of the White Book includes major achievements and trends in the field of Social Responsibility in 2017 and the role played by national institutions in serving the nation. The committee, which comprises distinguished personalities engaged in the field of social responsibility, has completed selection of the entities which will be honoured during the conference.
