HEC Paris in Qatar – ranked number 3 worldwide in Executive Education by The Financial Times – hosted a talk and book signing session in collaboration with the French Embassy in Qatar and the French Institute.

The session took place at HEC Paris Doha campus in Tornado Tower and was led by esteemed Guest Speaker - Bertrand Badré, former Managing Director of World Bank and author of the acclaimed book ‘Can Finance Save the World’, which questions whether the finance industry has adapted to sustainable development a decade after the global financial crisis. The event was attended by French Ambassador to Qatar, Franck Gellet; Dr. Pablo Martin de Holan, Dean of HEC Paris in Qatar; HEC Paris alumni and embassy guests including ambassadors and economic contacts.

After addressing the audience Badre, a graduate of HEC Paris who has previously served as a member of President Jacques Chirac’s diplomatic team, signed copies of his book for guests.

The book, which has been translated into multiple languages, features a foreword written by French President Emmanuel Macron and Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
