Minister of Environment and Climate Change H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie held talks with his Mongolian counterpart H E Batbaatar Bat in Doha yesterday.
The meeting focused on preparations for the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which Mongolia is set to host in August 2026.
The two ministers also explored avenues for bilateral cooperation in environmental protection and climate change mitigation, reflecting a shared commitment to global sustainability goals.
The talks come as both nations seek to deepen collaboration on issues related to land degradation, biodiversity, and climate resilience.
