Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) participated in the Gulf Power Conference and Exhibition 2017, which is being held in Muscat and lasts until tomorrow.
The conference will discuss many worksheets submitted by specialists, experts, researchers and officials from the authorities concerned with electricity in the Gulf States.
Kahramaa said in a statement yesterday that the conference, organised by the GCC Regional Committee for Large Electric Systems (GCC-CIGRE) and hosted by the Public Authority for Electricity and Water in the Sultanate of Oman, is accompanied by the 22nd Exhibition for Electrical Equipment, which includes the world’s largest manufacturers of electrical equipment, and brings together specialists, manufacturers, suppliers and contractors involved in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity.
The conference and exhibition will discuss the latest developments in the electricity sector, which will provide opportunities for exchange of information and expertise in the field of developing electrical power systems by direct communication between the specialists of the contractors and manufacturers with the decision makers concerned to identify the energy market in the electricity sector.
GCC-Cigre was established under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) in 1985, in order to facilitate and encourage the exchange of technical information among the member countries of the GCC through conferences, seminars, research and other technical and research activities to conserve energy resources in the GCC States.
