Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation has expanded its dental services at Al Khor Hospital and Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital, increasing the number of treatment clinics to eight. The expansion has enabled the provision of a comprehensive range of specialized dental services within the Northern Region, improving access to advanced oral healthcare closer to patients’ homes.

This initiative is part of HMC’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to specialized dental care across Qatar and meeting the increasing demand for high-quality oral healthcare services.

Services currently available include orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, endodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, and dental treatment under general anesthesia for children and patients with special needs.

The clinics receive referrals from Primary Health Care Corporation health centers and operate from Sunday to Thursday, from 7am to 3pm.

The growing demand for these services is reflected in patient activity across the two hospitals. In 2025, the dental clinics at Al Khor Hospital and Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital recorded 2,223 patient visits. Between January and May 2026 alone, the clinics received a further 1,855 patient visits.

Dr. Muneera Jassim Al Mohannadi, Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director of Al Khor Hospital, said: “The expansion of dental services in the Northern Region reflects HMC’s commitment to providing integrated, high-quality specialized healthcare services across Qatar. It also demonstrates our continued focus on developing services in line with the evolving needs of the communities we serve, improving access to specialist care, and enhancing the overall patient experience.”

Dr. Nasser Al Maarefi, Chair of Dental Services at HMC, added: “HMC continues to advance and develop its dental services to provide comprehensive, high-quality specialist care for all patients. The expansion at Al Khor Hospital and Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital reinforces our commitment to bringing specialized dental services closer to patients, while ensuring seamless clinical integration between the Northern Region facilities and Hamad Dental Center at Rumailah. This integrated model supports the delivery of safe, effective care in accordance with HMC’s established standards and international best practices.”

Dr. Abdulaziz Mohammed, Head of Dental Department at Al Khor Hospital and Aisha Bint Hamad Al-Attiyah Hospital, explained: “The service expansion has been supported by the recruitment of a dedicated team of eight specialist dentists representing a wide range of dental disciplines. Having these specialists based within the Northern Region has significantly enhanced the patient’s experience by enabling comprehensive, high-quality care, ensuring continuity of treatment and follow-up, making specialist consultation available closer to patient’s home.”
