Doha: The Asian Handball Federation yesterday announced the match schedule of the eighth Asian Men’s Beach Handball Championship, which will be held in Tehran, Iran from March 22 to 28.
The event will also act as qualifier for the World Championships to be hosted in Greece next June.
Besides hosts Iran and defending champions Qatar, Oman, Vietnam, the Philippines and India are participating in the event.
Qatar will start its campaign against the Philippines on March 22 and will face Oman on the following day. Al Annabi will meet India in their third match on March 25 before taking on Vietnam the next day. Qatar will face hosts Iran in their last match on March 28. Teams securing the top two positions in the continental event will qualify for the World Championships in Greece.
Qatar were crowned champions in China in 2019, after a 2-0 win over Oman in the final.
