Doha: Qatar SC can afford to take it easy against Al Kharaitiyat when they clash in the Week 21 match of the QNB Stars League here today.

Al Kharaitiyat are fighting with their back to the wall to avoid relegation. With just 13 points and are in the second last place.

Qatar SC, on the other hand are eighth with 22 points, “I am preparing the team in the best possible way. We had done well in many games but did not get the desired results. We created opportunities time and again but found ourselves at the receiving end. Against Al Duhail also last week, we made many individual mistakes and that proved costly,” Al Kharaitiyat coach Yasser Sebaei said.

“I hope we will be lucky in the last two games and make a turnaround in our fortunes. Our goal is to stay in the league. We are really suffering from the many defeats we endured in the first phase. There were too many negative results. In some matches, despite dominating…,” he added.

“We have used videos to assess the strengths and weaknesses of Qatar SC. They are a different side under Abdullah Mubarak. This is a do or die game for us and we are counting on the fighting spirit of our players to put up a strong showing,” he said.

“There is no other way for us than winning this match. I have not faced such a difficult situation in my career, but I am confident we can wriggle out of it,” said Yasser.
