The Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, H E Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, at ‘Lebanon Contact Group’ meeting at the headquarters of Italy’s Foreign Ministry (Palazzo della Farnesina), in Rome yesterday.
Rome: The State of Qatar participated in the ‘Lebanon Contact Group’ meeting which was held in the headquarters of Italy’s Foreign Ministry (Palazzo della Farnesina) in Rome.
The Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, H E Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, headed the Qatari delegation which comprised Qatar’s Ambassador to Italy, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jahni, and Vice-Chariman of Military Cooperation Authority in Qatari Ministry of Defence Brigadier Fahad bin Hamad Haie Al Sulaiti.
During the meeting, Lebanon Contact Group members states discussed ways to support the Lebanese Armed Forces and the National Security Apparatus, with a view of establishing stability and security in Lebanon and assisting the Joint Support Fund for coordination between the Government of Lebanon and international donors, to strengthen the efficiency of the Lebanese Armed Forces and internal security forces and to seek to complete UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
