Montreal: Chairman of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, Abdulla Nasser Turki Al Subaey, met here yesterday with Secretary-General of International Civil Aviation Organization, Fang Liu.
Al Subaey handed the ICAO Secretary-General a written message from the Minister of Transport and Communications H E Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, related to the latest developments of civil aviation in the region. The two sides then discussed aviation safety in the region, and agreed on the importance of increasing efficiency in that regard.
The chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority also held separate meetings with representatives of the African Union, and South America to ICAO. They discussed the latest developments of civil aviation around the world, and in the GCC region in particular. He expressed his appreciation during the meeting to the role ICAO has played in maintaining aviation safety and security.
